I realized I never posted the sad update that another of our Leukemia cats, Steve, passed away a week ago. Like all of our Leukemia positive cats he was a very special, very sweet boy and he will be sorely missed.
Sadly Cocoa has been returned to Feline Friends. :( He is being re-evaluated at the sanctuary and will be moved back down to the enclosure at Dave’s soon. Keep your eyes out for his stately figure watching from the catwalk.

We do not have any adoptions to announce from this weekend, though there was some interest in a few cats that we hope will translate into adoptions next week! But we do have some new cats. Lexi is a very sweet, young girl who was found stray in Feeding Hills. Leona and Erica are 7 year old sisters coming in from a home that has had allergies develop. Right now all three of them are at the sanctuary and aren’t quite ready to go home yet – I will be sure to post photos and update on the blog when they are available! Stay tuned!
Princess went home early this week to a family who was very eagerly awaiting her. Congratulations, Princess!

We have published our 40 Ways To Help Feline Friends handout on our website’s front page! Please feel free to print it out, take it with you, or distribute it anywhere you wish to. Thank you to everyone who has been asking us how they can help!
Kimba has been adopted! We knew such a beautiful girl would go quickly.

After a slow start to the day we ended up having 2 cats adopted this weekend at Dave’s!
Cocoa, our quirky boy, has found the love of his life who just adores his oddball personality.

Jeff, who was just brought down to Dave’s, has gone to live with a family who just loved his handsome good looks and laid-back personality.

4 new cats are or will be at Dave’s in the next week.
Kimba is already there and adjusting. She’s quite unusual in that she’s a female orange tabby!

Little Lana is such a sweet, sweet little girl. She’s very overwhelmed by being at Dave’s so she might be hiding for a few weeks. She’d do best in quiet household where she could just be cuddled and loved and cherished.

Jeff is a younger boy. He’s not fluffy, but not shorthaired… we just call him a “medium-hair” cat. He’s a cool dude, not too concerned about much. He’d probably do well with dogs. Jeff isn’t at the enclosure yet, but you can see him there after Wednesday!

Blue is a gorgeous cat – a little independent, but with a big personality! He’s also not in the enclosure yet, but will be on Wednesday.

This Saturday was another bustling Adoption Clinic – 4 of our kitties have found new homes! We are exhausted but so happy to see them go home.
Morgan and Nick got to stay together! They went to a home where they will have a lot of attention and time with their new owners and have lots of space to chase each other around.

Berkley was adopted by a lovely lady who just fell in love with him. We knew one day he’d charm someone – he is just too handsome.

And lastly Lucy was adopted! She got to go home in a pretty pink carrier and we think she’s going to be pampered. A match made in heaven!
