Zeus

Zeus is a gentle giant who has had more than his fair share of medical problems in his 7 years. He was a resident in our “kitty kottage,” which houses feral cats, but, despite his size, he was picked on by the other cats and we moved him to the main floor of the sanctuary, where he now resides. A black, short haired cutie with miscellaneous scars here and there, and chewed, torn ears that indicate a rough past, he is one of the cats at the sanctuary who has multiple health issues.

Zeus had severe nasal polyps in the past. His condition required an intricate facial surgery to locate and remove the massive polyps from his sinus cavity. Zeus, like his friend Tink, also has chronic rhinitus and makes a steady “sniffly” sound as a result. Add to this a case of FIV, and Zeus is one expensive kitty!

He receives medications for his ailments on an “as needed” basis and could not be a happier cat. After all his time here, he is no longer the feral cat that he once was. He is a loving kitty who enjoys having the staff and volunteers come in and pet him, and unlike many cats, he is quite demanding of our attention! If we stop petting Zeus, even for a second, he will gently paw at us as if to say, “Keep scratching my head!” Of course, we cannot resist his request and it’s often difficult to pull away from this sweet cat. A sponsor who would like to help defray his medical costs would be most appreciated.
